StudentsHelp.org Selected As Technology Coordinators for Give
1999
2/20/99
(San Jose, California)
On Saturday, February 20, the StudentsHelp.org Consulting Organization
continued its commitment to community service by accepting the
role of technology coordinators for Give 1999, an art event
aimed at raising money for the Leukemia Society. StudentsHelp.org
will be conducting a live video feed for the Leukemia Society
of America. The video feed, which will enable Internet users
the world over to witness this fundraiser as it happens, is
scheduled for March 20, 1999.
Renowned artist Mattison Fitzgerald is scheduled to present
her famous artwork at the fundraiser.
The
StudentsHelp.org organization continues to take tremendous
strides in their opportunities for volunteer work. StudentsHelp.org,
which initially
concerned itself with solving computer problems, can now proudly
say that it is committed to community events as well. While
the volunteers for StudentsHelp.org had conducted a video feed
at the Cannes Film Festival, this is the first time the organization
has actively promoted fundraising events.
Thanks to StudentsHelp.org Consulting, the Leukemia Society
of America will surely benefit from the added publicity. The
official site for the event at http://www.studentshelp.org/give
is being hosted and created by StudentsHelp.org. The live Internet
video feed is to conducted at the event, which is at a private
home in the San Jose Hills. Approximately 400 people will be
in attendance at this exclusive fundraiser. The public will
be allowed to witness the fundraiser through means of the official
Internet site, which will facilitate live video.
In an attempt to promote charitable contributions, several celebrities
are scheduled to attend. Christine Kennedy, two time Bay-to-Breakers
winner and Olympic hopeful; George Mount, Olympic cyclist; Barb
Acosta, U.S. Olympic Marathon time trials qualifier; and Greg
LeMond, two time winner of the Tour De France, will show their
support for the Leukemia Foundation.
StudentsHelp.org
is proud to have been associated with this event, and hopes
to use this experience for future fundraising projects. More
events will be posted as they become available.
